Youth Climate Gallary in COPs
The Canada Climate Change Law and Policy Research Center believes that empowering the next generation is essential to achieving a just and sustainable transition.
We invest in youth climate education and intergenerational dialogue, creating spaces where young people can engage with experienced climate leaders, artists, and policymakers.
At COP28 in Dubai, CCCLP organized a Youth Climate Art Exhibition and Action Forum at the China Pavilion, creating a vibrant platform for young voices in climate action. The exhibition featured over 200 artworks from youth across Canada and internationally, reflecting their visions for climate justice and sustainable futures.
During the two-week conference, the exhibition and activities attracted over 70,000 visitors, including delegates, educators, artists, and government representatives. We were honored to receive recognition from Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s office, along with visits and endorsements from multiple Canadian MPs and international climate leaders, highlighting the exhibition’s role in amplifying youth perspectives on the global stage.
At COP30, we will launch the Youth Climate Art Dialogue, connecting youth creators with established artists to explore the emotional and cultural dimensions of climate action across generations.
Beyond global conferences, the Center collaborates with schools, NGOs, and local communities to build youth capacity in climate literacy, environmental law, and creative communication.
We aim to nurture a generation of thinkers and leaders who approach climate change with empathy, creativity, and courage.
Through these initiatives, we promote an inclusive vision of climate leadership — one that values diversity not as a slogan, but as a living practice that unites people across age, culture, and belief in the shared stewardship of our planet.
