One of the world’s leading environmental law scholars and climate legal strategists, Professor Gerrard specializes in climate change law, environmental litigation, and energy regulation. As the founding director of Columbia’s Sabin Center for Climate Change Law, he has pioneered legal pathways for deep decarbonization and advised governments and international bodies on climate resilience, just transition, and environmental governance.
